Our Story
Every great story begins with love.

Our story began with an extraordinary English Bulldog named Bobo.
Born on a rainy afternoon on 28 February 2011 in Taiwan, Bobo arrived in Singapore at just three months old. He spent his early weeks at a pet farm, eagerly greeting every visitor who walked past his pen.
With his wagging tail, bright eyes, and endless enthusiasm, he waited patiently for the day someone would choose him. On July 2011, that day finally came.

Bobo met Francis and his family, and from that moment, life looked a little different. To Francis, Bobo was never “just a dog” — he was a constant companion and very quickly, an inseparable part of daily life.
Together, they built a bond rooted in trust and patience. Francis trained him with kindness, gave him confidence and encouraged him to discover what he was capable of. Before long, Bobo was walking confidently off leash, running on a treadmill and had become Singapore’s first skateboarding English Bulldog — showing off his skills at Pet Expo 2014 and alongside professional skaters at the Aliwal Urban Art Festival 2017.
Beyond the achievements, what mattered most was how Bobo made everyone around him feel. He brought laughter into the home and steady comfort on harder days, without fail.
Like most pet owners, Francis often faced the same question whenever he and his family travelled: “Who can we trust to care for Bobo the way we do?”
They wanted more than a boarding facility. They wanted a place where Bobo would feel safe and genuinely happy to return to — a true home away from home. When they couldn’t find one that matched
their expectations, they decided to build it themselves.
And so, The Wagington was born.
Today, The Wagington is more than a pet hotel. It is a place built on the belief that pets deserve genuine warmth and attentive care, not just a place to stay. Every interaction is delivered with the same care we’d give our own pets, right down to the smallest cuddle.
Whether your companion is staying for daycare, boarding, grooming or simply spending the day with us, our vision remains the same: to provide a safe, enriching and loving environment where tails wag, hearts are full and every pet feels at home.
While Bobo is no longer with us, his spirit is woven into everything The Wagington stands for. Every cuddle, every walk, every meal and every goodnight we give the pets in our care carries a little of the love he taught our family — and in that way, he’s never really left.

Meet The Family
Bobo may have been the inspiration that started it all, but our family has grown since. Francis’s home today is shared with three more spirited personalities — each one reminding us daily why we do what we do.

Sherry
Small in size but big in personality, Sherry is Francis' little shadow, trotting along wherever he goes. At The Wagington, she's taken on a self-appointed role too — head of security, greeting every guest as they walk through the door.

Miu Miu
Elegant and endlessly curious, Miu Miu has a warm presence that's hard to ignore. She's always on the hunt for the coziest lap in the room — or more often, Francis' beard.

Good Boy
Good Boy is a rescue who named himself — "Good Boy" is what he says on repeat. He's since made himself impossible to ignore, greeting every visitor in the house with a squawk and a flash of colour.
